Snow is on the way today but I think it’ll stay north of me. If I get any it should be a dusting to an inch. Enjoy the weekednd Cappers!

Those Ford Cortinas were o.k. They had some problems. They didn’t like stone walls.I totaled a brand new 1968 Ford Lotus Cortina coming up from Kilkenny Ireland to Dublin one night. The accelerator pedal stuck and I drove it into a large stone wall. Took the engine right off the mounts and into through the firewall of the car. Fortunately, God is good to fools and drunks, and I ( literally ) walked away with some scratches and minor bruises.Hertz Rentals weren’t amused but it was on record that I was on my way to replace the car because of the sticky accelerator when the accident occurred.The film production company, that I was working for, provided me with a driver for the duration of the job.

Comic actor Paul Lynde was once stopped by a cop for driving drunk (on the sidewalk!) The cop told him to get out of the car and walk a straight line. He replied, “I get out of the car to walk a straight line, there better be a net under it!”

I’ve often wondered… Why is Loitering against the law? It’s only a person standing there isn’t it?
