Buenos dias amigo,Life is slowly and inexorably crawling towards some semblance of normality, here. The people in the earthquake devastated areas are slowly coming out of the shock and trying to cope with no homes, food, water, medical supplies, sanitation, and in many cases, the loss of loved ones. The government reckons it will take 3 Billion dollars ( that they don’t have ) and several years to get these cities back on their feet. Complete towns and huge areas of cities have to literally torn down because they are unsafe for habitation, The entire infrastructure needs to be rebuilt from square 1.But rather than sitting around feeling sorry for themselves, the good folks are working together to help each other through this terrible time. The public and private institutions are doing everything the can but much more assistance is needed. The people of my adopted country are mas duro y más fuerza ! Together, we will, as the song goes, pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off, and start all over again….
I just loved your last two pictures. I had to translate them for my First Maite and she loved them as well. They’re absolutely true – in any language !
