I’m Eastern Orthodox. Andy would have a hard time in my Church. There is only limited seating, to be used only for the old, the infirm, and nursing mothers. Everyone else stands for the whole service. (And this is pretty much standard for all Orthodox Churches. The exception being those Churches that have taken over a former Protestant Church that came with a lot of pews.)
I don’t miss the ciggy (after all, I started to smoke at the age of 14 and quit a week later), but I do miss the accent. And the art (today’s is one of the FEW times people aren’t in single file, in profile.) But most of all the characters! One of my favorite vicar classics: Andy and Flo are chatting with the vicar. He notes that the weather has been very changeable recently. Andy pipes up: “Yer right, vicar, and I was just sayin’ to Florrie the other day, yer just don’t know WHAT to pawn!”
Well, Cappers. I managed to go out today but there was a reduced service on the trains. It was freezing but I wasn’t going to stay in the house for a 3rd day. I’m going out tomorrow as well. Call me crazy if you want, I don’t care. I’m a risk taker.
I’m donating my 19th pint of blood on 13th March and dedicating it somebody who I don’t even know. It’s a man in a Facebook group I’m in who needs transfusions every 3 weeks.
He said: “I have been told l have 1 to 3 years life expectancy, thank you to all the blood donors that are keeping me alive”
You are a true hero.♥ You are a giver of life through your blood donations. You have inspired me to want to donate but alas I am now too old. They just want young blood.

touché (the chapel must have very good acoustics when it comes to Andy’s snoring)

Vicar makes special note of the sinners who need extra help!

Andy’s comment seems weak. Vicars and other members of the cloth receive all members of their flock at the church entrance before and after a service.

Church isn’t compulsory.

Artwork was good today but the gag a little pallid, so I think a 3/10 is in order.
I agree with LUCY VAN PELT and NUMBER SIX that the cutting humor, the “edge” to Andy has been gone for a long time and the strip is far too PC.
When Andy lost his Hartlepool accent, and the ubiquitous cigarette dangling from his mouth, he lost a lot of his character and humor.

For some reason, Andy reminds me of a Muppet in the last panel.
