    “For six”? I’d say make it “for six billion”, but the bouncer getting Andy that much.

    In cricket, “knocking one for six” is the equivalent of a home run in baseball. Hitting the ball beyond the playing boundary on the fly is worth six points.

    @Number Three In today’s strip our Hero Mr Andrew Capp is cruisin’ for a bruisin’ inviting that hunky club bouncer for a fight :o) like you I prefer owning a dog than a cat ,but Connie prefers cats , my avatar shows Cindy who at that stage was a staid old maid of 12 with Cindy who was a kitten and wanted to play , I am not ashamed to say that I cried when Cindy died and phoned Arthur to come and bury her in our downstairs garden , Bella is now 13 yrs old but still likes to play , it’s finally Friday again your favourite day , to answer your comment yesterday , I never watched Beavis & Butthead , the cartoons I like are , the Simpsons , Family Guy and the one about Stan Smith as a bumbling C.I.A agent ’ Hope you have a good day , I think we will as we don’t have anything planned , take care pal.

    @Number Three O.M G just now the phone rang and it was the hacker again , he said he wanted to talk to me about my computer and that his name was Mr Brown , I told him that he was the same guy that had tricked me a month ago and cut the conversation off after I offended him .

    The second panel made no sense. Andy saying " You can’t call me that !" would have sounded more aggressive and in context. “Don’t call me that” reads a bit defensive and whiny to me.

    Is there anything remotely amusing about today’s strip…? I’m really struggling

    Meantime, watching more paint dry…

    I have tried and tried to understand the rules of cricket, but the more I learn about it, the less I know about it.

    There was an old (read: classic) Andy Capp strip where Andy was described as “the ultimate weapon.” And his antagonist agreed!

    Thank goodness for security guards and police officers.

    The riff raff often do not remove themselves.

    @Afficionado

    I hate crying in front of people. I long to be alone when I’m upset. The phrase “Misery loves company” does not apply to me.

    Did you use any “colourful language” (swearing) when that scammer phoned you again? Have you contacted the police? I’m guessing it was one of those calls where they phone you to say they have detected a virus on your computer and will need to have access to it.

    Yeah! Don’t call him that! He’s a lazy, shiftless, lying, beer-cadging, troublemaker!
