@Number Three Today’s strip IS funny, the two coppers must be new to the area not to recognize that it’s our HERO Mr Andrew Capp crawling on the pavement so they decide to point him towards Durham street and out of their beat, shame :o) how was your day? our Thursday should be a little busy as usual but we should cope I hope in spite of the infernal heat we have no errands to run or shopping to do, we both are in a good mood so we can chill drinking lots of bottled water and ice cream till this evening when the green grocer van comes up our street, keep safe and hydrated and thanks for caring young Lady and thanks for caring young Lady
Maybe Andy could get a job as a Quality Control inspector for the street dept? He does seem to exam the streets and sidewalks closely. And he does know, or should know, where any maintenance work needs to be done.
Belated (again!) thanks to Eldo for finding the classic I mentioned yesterday. As for “crawling” episodes, one of my favorites has Flo waiting at the door with the traditional rolling pin, ready to “bop!” Andy one when he comes staggering on home. The door opens, and Andy starts to crawl in. Flo gets down to his level—there’s some adaptability for you!
Hey, Affie! Here in the North East we are expecting thunderstorms. It’s looking very threatening right now. I just had a wander around today.
I had some ice cream, strawberries and cream last night. Beautiful. Dessert of the Gods. I’m booked at the carvery on the 18th and I once had ice cream with toffee sauce on it when I was there.
Stay safe, stay well, stay cool and stay happy, pal.

@Cornelius Noodleman…. even if he did find a coin, he wouldn’t be buying a round.

One bobby has his buttons vertically and the other horizontally.
Guess no standardization in coppers uniforms!
Andy is lucky that he has a full moon to crawl by.

Better do it quickly, before he reaches the canal.
