@Number Three Today’s strip IS funny our HERO Mr Andrew Capp staying at home watching Telly with Flo gets an unwelcome visitor, his mother in law never approved his marrying her daughter :o) my avatar is about cartoon physics , gravity does not work unless he looks down :o) how was your day? our Manic Monday will be busy as usual but we will cope I hope, we both are n a good mood , no shopping to do or errands to run just stay in the house and keep hydrated till this evening when the greengrocer van comes up our street , keep safe and thanks for caring young Lady
Hmm 1991 ended the cold war and that was around the time environmentalist started making a lot of noise about global warming. Hard to have a cold war in a warming climate I guess.
Why do people think this is a version of facebook where people give a rip about their daily lives? I know, don’t read the comments if you don’t like it. Never mind the comment s section is to talk about the cartoon, not yourself.
One of my all-time favorite Andy episodes actually involved his Mum, not Flo’s. Andy and Flo were having a bit of a fight (but not a fight cloud!) because Flo wasn’t giving Andy enough of her pocket money to waste. I paraphrase (but maybe Eldo could find the real thing?)
Andy: “Me Mum always warned me yer were grasping and pennypinching!”
Flo: “You mean yer Mum didn’t want yer to marry me?”
Andy: “Yes, bless her heart!”
Flo (crying into her hankie): “How I’ve WRONGED that poor woman!”
Tomorrow I’m at the hairdressers. I always know when I need to go because my fringe starts to curl up at the ends. Lo and behold, it’s been 7 weeks since I last went for a haircut. I get it braided as well so that’s what I’m doing again.
On Wednesday I’m at my volunteering and will be going for a KFC afterwards which is basically what my routine is going to be now. I haven’t “cheated” so far by going on another day. Wednesday is not that far away.
I have made another reservation at the carvery for 17th November. That falls on a Wednesday so no KFC on that day.

Alas, poor Andrew. Its enough to drive a bloke to drink. So there is a silver lining in every cloud for Mr Capp, after all. Cheers!

Even if his Mum-in-law was not a harpy, she would still have little use for a shiftless, bone idle, loser of a son-in-law like Andy.

Wife and I have separate tv’s so we do not have much discourse, like Andy and Flo

Thank goodness that our minds can’t be read! Otherwise Andy would be in some hot water.
And I have only just come out of hot water. I had a lovely bath.

Stay safe, stay well and stay happy, pal.

Now there’s a war that shows no sign of ending. I highly doubt there’s any hope of detente.
