Can’t you just divert some of the canal water to go through the cells? I seem to remember a Greek demigod doing that with a river and some stables.

Ouch … when you have a drunk in the family most of the people around you feel free to let all kinds of horrible thoughts and words flow out of their mouths. As if things aren’t bad enough.

Hey, Affie.

I am writing to you from the library. As usual I’m going to the supermarket afterwards to get my Weetabix Breakfast Drink for tomorrow. I also managed to get an appointment at the hairdressers tomorrow as well at 2:30pm. Whoo hoo! When my fringe drives me mad, I know it’s time.

I’ve got some great news to share. I start my new volunteer job on 13th September. The actual volunteering is not the only thing I’m looking forward to. It’s the nice, relaxing commute into the town. I will be getting the ferry over and then a shuttle bus that’s free if I have my ferry ticket. It’s going to be so nice. I am doing Telephone Befriending for Age UK and I can claim my travel expenses back. I was surprised to hear that the calls will be made from my own mobile, I have to dial 141 to hide my number (I believe it’s *67 in the US) I can claim expenses back on my phone too. I may ask for £10 a month because that’s how much I spend monthly on my phone. We’ll see what happens though. As they are a charity that relies on funding and donations, I don’t want to appear greedy. Actually, I’m rather stuck on what to do about that.
