Yeah. That’s hard work napping and then going to the pub after your wife does the laundry and myriad other chores. Makes you thirsty.

On Red and Rover today, I spoke about my hometown Chester and the nearby city Liverpool. I recalled that Washington Irving lived in Liverpool from 1815 to 1818 and that Washington Irving occasionally visited Chester and is known to have visited The Headless Woman Inn in Duddon near Chester. I then stated that I visited The Headless Woman Inn in 2011 shortly before it closed down. I recall that someone recently mentioned a pub called The Silent Woman with a picture of a headless woman. That pub, it seems, has also closed down. Sadly, many of our historical pubs have closed down due to economic failures which have been increased by the smoking ban and the Covid pandemic.

That is exactly what I would do too, I wouldn’t think twice.

I once saw something on Facebook regarding unpleasant people and dark clouds. As soon as they (expletive) off it’s a lovely day.

I forgot to tell you that I was waiting for over an hour at the hairdessers yesterday. It was for a rather nice reason though. When I called the day before to make my appointment she was pretty much fully booked but didn’t want to say No to me. She’s known me since I was a kid and, I quote “I have to look after my little regulars” is what she said.

I refuse to go to any other hairdresser. It’s the same with the dentist too. Although I’d rather not go to the dentist at all to be fair. In the future I might opt out or just go once a year. My teeth are perfectly healthy. It said so on the X-Rays too.
