That name fits him perfectly.

Is “cadger” the same as “moocher”? If so, the name suits him to a T!

Even when he’s not locked up he’s called that.

Today’s strip nicely follows on from Andy deliberately kicking a football into a cop in yesterday’s strip.

“Minnie the Moocher” ( jazz song co-written by American musician Cab Calloway) would not want Andy trying to “cadger” in on “Moocher”

That looks like the rent collector in the right-hand cell.

Not only is it apt but it kinda rhymes.

Funny how everybody in the cells are on a first name basis.

That’s a good nickname for Andy. Of course, so would “Boozer.”

Billy Batson, formerly known as Captain Marvel in the early days of comics. Now called Shazam to avoid trademark conflicts. Sounds like the kid took it pretty hard.

Cadger. a person who tries to get something from someone else without paying for it
