Why would someone build a canal there?

We all know who will be paying once they arrive at their destinations.

I live near Madawaska, Maine…..about as far north in Maine as you can get. It’s a small town with a population just over 4K. Back in the eighties there was Loring Air Force Base just south of town forty miles. All the fly boys would come to town to meet up with all the Canadian girls looking for fly boys. Madawaska boasted 33 bar joints back in the day! When Loring closed it ruined the economy ….. no more fly boys and only one or two bars remain.

What a stupid place to leave a canal.

Osan Air Base, South Korea. Had a list of over 40 bars/restaurants walking distance outside the Base Main Gate. We took Green Beans out their first night from 5 pm till about midnight. One quick beer or bottle of Oscar bathtub wine in each joint we hit and move along. Green Bean Wasted. Welcome to Osan. Lot of Military young guys married during their 18 months there. Yep.
