This is supposed to be funny? I can’t even imagine what is supposed to be funny about it. Is suicide funny? Is the idea of the thought of suicide funny? Is the fact that suicide isn’t funny, funny? Wtf? This is really offensive. I can’t fathom what could be funny and not offensive about this.
I know a woman whose aunt killed herself. Because this woman saw the impact that suicide had on her family, even when she was very depressed, she never chose suicide. She was angry at her aunt for taking that option away, but it was very true for her that the thought of suicide kept her alive.

I took it to mean the Thought of the Pain suicide causes the people left behind.
