I had never seen (or heard of) a mayfly until we moved to Missouri. Don’t get the name, they usually invade in June.
lake, they’re not very well educated, so they don’t necessarily know the months of the year very well. It’s the same sort of thing that makes me wonder how the deer know to cross highways where the signs are.
…..and if we turned off our headlights when we see deer crossing, would they still give us a “deer with no headlights” look?
