The same story since the begining of times. The parents not wanting their offspring to make the same stupid things they did when young. Will do them anyway when the parents are not looking, just like they did before.
The same people who never wore a bike helmet — heck, at the time, they didn’t even exist! — rode in the back of the station wagon (with the rear window down, even!), all those other things from which we try to shelter our kids; and we lived through them.
