A few years ago mom and dad went through all their photo albums, as well as boxes of more photos, and organized everything in chronological order. This included photos from mom’s family, as grandpa was a real shutterbug. They now have over two shelves worth of family albums, including grandpa’s pictures of building the Alaskan Highway. My brother, sister and I each received a couple albums documenting our lives. The photos were reproduced from the original negatives or slides, as both dad and grandpa had saved everything. Dad even has the Kodak cameras which were used to take the photos.
It’s fun to look through those albums now and then. I can show I was born in Hawaii, when the Royal Hawaiian was the only hotel on Waikiki Beach. My avatar is another pic from the past.
My house was broken into last year, the August long weekend. The thing with the most sentimental and monetary value was my Gibson The Paul guitar. My Canon SX50 camera was also taken, the sd card had a cheap but irreplaceable sentimental value of the photos therein.

I have an external photographic memory, it’s called a wife.
