I feel like I’m coming in on the middle of a story. I guess if we keep it up, all will make sense.

    January 11, 2011

GOOD MORNING ANNIE FANS! Jan and Lonewolf, good to be be back, eh?

Actually, I think this is the first strip of a new story. Hang with it, you’ll enjoy it. And I’m only supposing that this is the first strip drawn by Alan Kupperberg. I don’t know that for a fact, just a supposition on my part since tomorrow’s strip will also be a Sunday, April 15. I’m guessing Pepoy was still drawing the dailies up to this point. But don’t read ahead! :-)

Bob, your idea has merit. I like the story here in April of 2001, but I’m willing to go along with the majority. What does everyone else think?

I’m going to start rereading here. I’m also going to see if my library has the collected Annie volume 1 that’s at the top of this page.

OK, that’s 2 votes for reading here and 1 for going to 1/11/02. Let’s hear some more, folks.

Teh - I certainly recommend that book. I have all 5 volumes and love reading them! Can’t wait for for volume 6 to come out!

I like the logic of grouping on 1/11/02. That way my pathetic brain doesn’t have to remember anything except the date. We can always read this story line as well….

Howdy. I’ll go with whatever the rest of you decide. I’m easy to get along with. ;-)

Davidf42 - - When do we start advancing the days?

it may be a good idea to follow Florchi’s model for following the Brenda strips on the same date in ‘02 for Annie. if decided, i’ll be doing both, reading in ‘02 and starting at the beginning of the archive maybe at my own pace eventually catching up to current date in ‘02.

That biplane wasn’t doing an immelman (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Max_Immelmann), just a regular loop.

I’m for starting at 1/11/02…….I, too, would be able to remember what day it is……something about Senior Moments?

Thanks, DavidF for directing us here!!!

Wow! I had no idea this would be so popular an idea, but here we are. It looks like most folks want the concurrent strip 9 years ago, so tomorrow we will read 1/12/02. If anybody wants to go ahead and read this story too, that’s their prerogative. So tomorrow I’ll meet you all at 1/12/02.

Hi, I’m from 2022! A great Sunday comic with fantastic acrobatics of a small jet flying rings around a boxy biplane! Would look great in a movie.
