After all the trouble to show the peculiar written language of the lost South American tribe, it is disappointing not to see actual Russian with a asterisk and translation at the bottom. I guess no one volunteered to provide authentic Russian (not a problem for a fictional language).
But the current (dashed balloon border) convention is far better than the one in use by Locher on Dick Tracy.
What year is this supposed to be? We have laptop computers with 1950’s era Stalinist soldiers? How many people really think that this is how life in the former Soviet Union really is? I’m all for suspsension of belief, especially in comics. I’d just like a little consistentcy.
