These comments have me remembering a movie in which a bomb on a plane will go off if the plane lands below 5,000 ft, so off they go to Denver… I think Jimmy Stewart was in it.

What type of a bomb. If it is wired to explode at a certain altitude try to find out before you descend, it could save your life.

You can use a detonator that allows a plane to ascend and descend a set number of times before it will trigger the device.
