I’m hearing Bon Jovi’s “Wanted Dead or Alive”, but that’s only because crab fishing season’s started.

LordDogmore, ok, I’ll bite. What has Bon Jovi got to do with crab fishing season?

At first I thought Sandy was thinking, Gee it’s a beautiful autumn, so nice and peaceful, but then I realized, this isn’t FRED BASSET.

I’ll confess I’m more than a lttle impatient. We’re into week two now still waiting for Warbucks and Grimm to break into that underground facility. Progress in that story direction stopped WHAM ! on Friday Sept 25.

Seems the apeal in the story is in part based on the “waiting” game and much less on what they will actually uncover.

My earier guess on extra terrestrials seem out the window now, as it unlikely THEY would be using inferior metals on entry points that could corrode easily.

Devonshade, I haven;t been reading this strip too often so I must have missed something. But I cant recall the “black” reference.

I live in an island country with “mixed” communities and people are naturally senstive to this, but not high-strung to a point where they percieve a “racist” remark whenever a man at a bar calls for a Johnny Walker Black Label (scotch). chased with soda.

But then to be fair, I can’t speak for your community.

Devonshade, Do you know what “Black Ops” are?- Secrete operations. Get over yourself.

Devonshade, the term “Black Ops” has been in use for ages in spy and thriller novels. As Strodgers said, it is a term used to describe secret operations. Black as in dark, shadowy and difficult to see.

Marge, Bon Jovi’s song is the theme song for Discovery Channel’s “Deadliest Catch”

At least we agree the theme music should be for something scary and wet!

I would never have expected to see the race card played in connection with an Annie strip. Some people seem to have nothing but race on their minds.

Annie is in for a bumpy ride in Alasska, and I mean that literally. I have family in Alaska, and except for the main streets in the cities, they don’t use asphalt, they use gravel. Asphalt cracks at the temperture Alaska gets down to. As low as -60F and no wind chill factor to worry about.
