Folks, it’s been great knowing y’all for this short time, but let’s not call it quits yet.

Let’s pick a new meeting place. Some people mentioned Brenda Starr, which I never read but I’d be willing to start if it means being with you all. I suggested Mutt & Jeff. That’s a classic with very few people in the comments section. Gasoline Alley is a good classic, but the comments section is already pretty full there.

Or, if Annie continues in some other format, we can find a good forum or create one on Google Groups. Then we can continue discussing our favorite comic strip there. Let’s not say Good-by just yet.

Good morning. Has it been determined if Annie will continue online and is just being cancelled in the printed newspapers?

Teh, from what the Tribune says, it appears that the online version as well as the newspaper strip will end this Sunday. But there will probably be comic books and/or graphic novels in the future.

I’m all for picking a new meeting place, David. Whatever the sock puppet community decides is fine by me. I have collected Annie in some form or other all the way from the beginning in 1924 right up until today and have seen many changes. Boy, could I ever comment on this strip! Hate to see the current storyline left hanging thanks to those BLEEP BLEEP BLEEPER nignogs at TMS who seem to have absolutely NO BLEEPING consideration for us longtime fans. They can all take their cushy jobs and go right straight to BLEEP!

How about considering “meeting” somewhere that’s designed for it, like Twitter or Facebook, and not at a comics site at all?

Good morning everyone!

Good Morning all. It seems to be busy this morning, here in Annieville. I sure hope you folks don’t leave gocomics. I don’t do facebook, nor do I twiiter. There are so many strips that we can go to. Please, let’s not break up our family here.

I’ve only just found some friends here, and I truly do not want to lose them.

Besides, I’ve got a lot of avatars and stories I haven’t shown or told yet. :-))

Just read “the Academia Waltz”/ Found one comment.

The strip was done by Berkeley Breathed in his college newspaper. It evolved into “Bloom County”, which was and is one of my favorites.”Academia Waltz” does not seem to get bleeped.

In one arc during the Three Mile Island nuclear leak event the scientists were going through a book and one said, Look under ‘F’ for f”ed up”. Only it was spelled out explicity, as have other phrases that would get bleeped here and on most, if not all, other strips.

Might be a good strip to move to? Dated, but hilarious?

Just a suggestion? That word is not “fed”, It is “f ’ ed.

Leaky is off seeking his fortune, (again) so VistaBill will be filling in for him tonight and tomorrow night.
