This is a shout-out to the lead story in Walt Disney’s Comics and Stories #137 (February 1952). The story starts with Donald Duck selling his song “Lonesome Cowboy” with the same lyrics used in today’s Annie strip. Donald celebrates by taking the kids on a trip and they end up in Avalanche Valley where whenever anybody plays his song on the jukebox, an avalanche results.

A new strip is added to the roster, at least on a temporary basis.
