Another near-verbatim conversation between my wife and me. Every year, the real trees get more expensive, and every year, I refuse to allow an artificial tree to darken my doorstep.
I have an artificial tree from an old girlfriend that has remained in its box since the first & only Christmas we spent together. I’ve tried bringing it out but my wife insists on getting a real one every year, so to cut costs, we go cut our own. It’s work, but she’s happy & that’s what counts.
