Does anybody really know how to spell tomatity, or do I get to make it up? And can I ad an extra t before the y just for fun? Tomatoes are voluptuous….

No squirrel was harmed in making this toon. The anvil will fall when the Coyote (Arlo) stands under it and looks up.

Ah, yes, as Meg rushes towards the couple, the anvil begins to fall and just barely misses Meg.(Popeye and Sweet Pea in a construction of a building).

Arlo seems to have healed nicely from his knife cut, May be he wants another trip to the ER.

When the anvil does fall (and it will) I hope we see it from the top of the tree appearing to get smaller in its descent and a small puff of dust as it hits the ground. Yes, ground. Jimmy would never let the anvil hit Arlo or Janis.

Pfff. Wile E. Coyote took 3-4 anvils each cartoon and still came back strong.

reminds me of the time we were remodeling our house. trying to move a cast iron bathtub to the basement. tied a rope around it, wife above holding the rope, me below trying to slow the descent. the tub got stuck. i came up to help get it unstuck. we got it unstuck, but the tub was too much for the rope. BIG hole in the cellar floor. me now believing in guardian angels.

I always liked the scene at the end of this more (one wonders what Arlo would have done):
