Twitter is absolutely wonderful. Never before, in the field of communication, have so many people of so little importance been able to display so much total idiocy to so many.
I had an account, but rarely ever used it. When I tried to sign in after a long absence, it said my password was incorrect. So I went through the process to reset it, and discovered it had been hijacked. Some young punk was using it. I changed the password, then decided to just close the account.
As a former teacher of English (30 years in high school and college), Twitter doesn’t bother me. It’s just another form of communication. To me, it’s a return to the days when the telegraph was nascent.
I see a change in Janis. She seems to get meaner to Arlington as time goes on. Watch out, the day could come where he doesn’t want to come in to the bathroom with a glass of wine or to be in awe of you. Aunt Frith may catch his eye.
i twit i mean tweet – but only because i can’t stand facebook and my kids, and even a few friends that are long distance away want to know what’s up and for me it is much faster and easier than an email. i follow 30 people and am followed by 30 people (not necessarily the same 30) so only if i use a hashtag does anybody else know i exist in twit land. i have found it to be funny and sometimes informative but mostly a lot of mindless fluff and i mean a lot of fluff. too much reactionary hypocritical statements in the broader community.and in the broader twit community it is used by too many to be thought police and shame police to pressure people into ridiculous stupidity and thinking – note PC – but as all things technical you can corrupt it to serve your purposes whether they be good or evil. the best thing is it can only be 140 characters long so it is sometimes fun to see the creativity of some users in getting there message across in one twit i mean tweet :)
If this is “can you top this?”, maybe I can. I cannot post on ComicsKingdom because all this year they have claimed that my multi-year old email address is unacceptable because it “is in use”. Yeah, you twits, by me. They had no trouble with it prior to last January, nor does anyone else at any time.

Beware of a communication platform with the word “twit” in it

I’m on Twitter, I’m on Twitter,
My life don’t ever get in a rut, #Bis-a-bow #Bis-a-bow
The head on my shoulders is sorta loose
And I ain’t got the sense God gave a goose
Lord, I ain’t crazy, but …I’m a TWIT
(not sure if I need to apologize to Leroy Pullins)

You’re far too intelligent to be a Twit, Arlo.

Why twit when you have a whole 4-panel strip to share your thoughts. Bon homme Arlo.

Twitter is for illiterates.

So that’s what Janis has been doing all the times we see her with a twit-o-phone in her hand.

I’m not a twit so I refuse to twit

Maybe it has something to do with Paul Klee’s Twittering Machine.

At least it causes people to laugh. That’s not bad is it, Janis?

I get really tired of people knocking technology they don’t use.

One must ask oneself: “What sort of things twitter and tweet?”
There is a reason for the epithet,“bird brain.”

Twitter, a means of writing junk in 140 characters or less. The few who do have to use brevity to make it meaningful.

How true, Janis, how true.
