Do the kids actually love Arlo and Janis, or are they trying to punish them for something by suggesting that they build a house in that spot?

When Arlo ans son first went to look at it they went on high ground. The house was going to be on a hill overlooking the lake, what happened to that plan?

Septic tank won’t work probably, ground too water logged.

Can’t put a septic system below the water table. If water won’t drain, neither will a septic tank.

Schlup schlup…the sound of walking (if you can call it that) in deep muck. Once I walked in muck like that & the suction sucked my boot right off my foot! Every year my yard turns into s swamp. Yuck!

And this is why smart governments have zoning laws. Too bad the developers got their way in Houston, too many homes built in flood plains.

In this day and age, there’s only a couple reasons land is available. It’s not worth anything, or Trump is selling more National Parks.
