I hope he doesn’t start yelling and screaming and telling his team what they should be doing. Everybody knows that doing that only works when it is a live broadcast.
When I was stationed in Germany with the Air Force (1976-1979) the majority of the games, with the exception of the Super Bowl were taped and aired on Armed Forces Radio and Television Service (AFRTS) about three weeks after they were originally aired. I ran a little scam of taking bets on the game, since already knew who won and what the scores were. It kept me in beer and cigarette money for three seasons.
One year when I was working Saturdays, I would record the WSU Cougars radio broadcast on videotape, then transfer it to cassettes so I could listen. I had to monitor the end of the recording to get the end of it, and I kept hearing the final, losing, score. Yet each time they kept running up a big score, and I kept wondering if I was mistaken and they won anyway. Nope, they kept snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.
One of yesterday’s CFL games was actually called because of the weather. Lightning. Fortunately the game was far enough along in the 3rd quarter and one team had a large enough lead for the bad weather protocols to hold.https://www.cfl.ca/weather/
That’s the way I prefer to watch a horse race, like the Kentucky Derby. If the news doesn’t have anything bout a bad horse wreck, I’ll watch. Can’t stand to see a horse fall in the race.

I never understood that either. Why watch a rerun of any game when the winner (or loser) is already known?

No one was visibly maimed. Just the multiple brain injuries, that’s all.
