Change the clothes, not what they’re hanging on.

Ithink she is supposed to be remembering maternity clothes. That was my favorite part of being pregnant!

So Lucy, is it better to have people think you are gaining weight or that you are pregnant? Not saying that either choice needs to be actually true. I just remember two incidents that severely changed my perception of things. 1) Seeing my former roommate’s girlfriend on campus about a year after I left school for the military and almost asking “Are you gaining a bit of weight?” What stopped me was the memory of the night that I came home from work much earlier than normal and walked in on them at a “bad time”. Realizing that I had no clue of things between them, but she might be pregnant. She had not noticed me and I just kept walking. 2) Seeing what my wife went through at school with people and their comments while pregnant with our first child. Being irritated about that situation and suddenly realizing that I was just as guilty with other women that I knew or worked with.

Obviously, even the fleeting thought of possibly being pregnant does not thrill her…but women’s wear designers always tend to bring the ‘maternity look’ back in style periodically. Seems a bit masochistic to me!

It’s funny the things that can trigger memories. One of my wife’s first maternity dresses was almost the exact shade of blue JJ chose for the pivotal third panel. As for the whole “man, woman, birth, death, infinity” circle of life, giving birth is what it is all about.

Anything to accentuate those puppies and pique Arlo’s interest. Tight enoung to show off your high beams.

Could Gene (remember him>) be going to have a sibling?

Go retro Janis. Empire waist.

Take 10 minutes a day and work those Abs! Then you won’t need “forgiveness at the midriff.”

Yeah! Something like that. :o)

My wife says she can use her bra as a belt at the same time.

And don’t forget ‘comfort-fit’ jeans, with spandex in the waist, to complete the ensemble. Also an older guy’s best friend.
