Janis acts like my wife when I am talking to the TV. She doesn’t hear the other side of the conversation and tells me I have to much unnecessary information stored in my brain that is taking up room where something more useful could be stored.
Love Jeopardy and never miss. However, the answer in the form of a question is a bit of a stretch. I mean like “what is blue?” Could have many, many different answers for example.
+1 for knowing Mayim Bialik is one of the hosts of Jeopardy! -1 for not knowing that there is not a $500 level in Jeopardy! any more. First round is 200, 400, 600, 800, and 1000. Second round is 400, 800, 1200, 1600, and 2000.
I wanted to commend the reference to the old leagues for Black players by their proper and recognized name but apparently the word Ne*** is on GoComics banned list. Seriously?!?!
The great Buck O’Neill: first baseman and manager in the N*gro American League; first African American coach in Major League Baseball; elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in 2022 as an executive.
If you really want your jaw to drop at the intelligence-level of some people check out YouTube videos of Cowbellpedia which is a mathematics television quiz show that airs in Nigeria. Talk about challenging!
Husband and I actually did a test to be on the show at an Atlantic City casino decades ago. My problem was/is that I don’t know the popular culture questions.
Waaay back when I was in school teachers used to play Jeopardy in class to get students involved in learning things – they would make up their questions – did not use the actual show, just the format.

Jeopardy hasn’t had $500 questions since 2001. $200 increments in round 1, $400 in 2.

Another Bucky O’Neill was a leader of The Rough Riders under Teddy Roosevelt. However, that’s not baseball.

Jeopardy isn’t the same without Alex, and it seems like they’ve eased the entry requirements. Even I can get a few questions right.
locake about 2 years ago
When I answer at home, I never use Who or What. No need to form it into a question when I’m home.

Ever asked Alexa to play Jeopardy? Bialik’s voice is hideous.

Wow, just found out GoComics bans the word N*gro, which is why I spell it like this.

Mayim, that’s right. I haven’t watched Jeopardy! since long before Alex Trebek passed away. I wonder how she and Ken Jennings are doing as co-hosts?
