    I love Arlo’s low-humidity wool-cap staticky hair in panel 2.

Arlo can be romantic when he wants. A glass of red wine would be better than coffee or cocoa.

There are those who buy all their Xmas gifts and wrapping etc. by July. I’m not one. I used to love going to the mall (when malls were still viable) on the day before Xmas to see all the panicked guys running around trying to find gifts; I know that’s wrong but ….

Sometimes I wish I had a fireplace to cozy up to on these cold days and nights.

I drove past a house today that had a Christmas tree and lights up already. The house next door still has headstones and skeletons in the yard.

House 2 to north of us has been in full bloom for a week already. Others still have their Halloween lights up.

Normally lights outside up by now – not turned on, just up, while weather milder. This year had hired a gardener &husband decided had to wait until he & crew blew leaves out of bushes so would not blow the lights out of same. So will probably put outside lights up coming week pending weather.

Inside have not even put out the Thanksgiving decorations yet. Have a set of bear figurines in living room cabinet normally I change monthly, but have not touched in months. Also have a bear village upstairs that has not been touched since the spring or earlier.

Bear village – had too many bear ornaments on Christmas tree in living room & we had just bought new one. Husband made a stand for top of old tree & I put in the “teddys’ room” aka spare bedroom & put some of the bear ornaments on it. After couple of years he had me set it up on a wicker trunk in the upper hall so it could be seen from downstairs.

Gradually bear figurines were added around it and buildings added. Both hated taking it down, came up with idea of changing monthly. Bears who play music for bear choir near its church play at the gazebo for summer concerts, etc. In March 2020 it was setup for pandemic – only the accountant bear at his popup office, the restaurant, police, fire bears were setup. Not changed since since last summer. Need to setup for Thanksgiving – including Pilgrim and Native American reenactors with a corn stack building that I painted. The “Panda Panda” – vegan & fish restaurant and the “Honey Pot” restaurant put out their joint sign with their holiday dinner prices. Then the Christmas setup – with parade and Santa in Gazebo, ice skating/fishing, RVs, choir, band, Toys for Tots bears with their collections (from Walmart – had the figurines for 3 years), skiing and skating and the senior bears group have their booth setup to sell honey cocoa and coffee.
