No longer exchange here, since we already have duplicates of anything we could want. Also have asked the kids to make donations to any charity in lieu of gifts to us. One son still insists on sending flowers and something squirrelly since it’s my wife’s least favorite animal. This year it was a pair of matching sweaters, resplendent sweaters to be sure, but outrageously squirrelly.
LOL! So you try to order something on line for your spouse, and the next thing you know, everything you browsed at, (everything they browsed upon, as I know how to cover my tracks…) pops up as an ad on some other web page as you are looking up something else… No surprises here!
We just do gift cards and money when we get together. The grandkids prefer it and so do I. It’s the time everyone brings the food they make best. MMM. My second oldest son got all his certifications to weld this year, so I’m also kinda hoping for something cool and metal.
My wife and I stopped exchanging gifts years ago… but last October I ran across something that I knew would really please her. I couldn’t make it a total surprise of it because she would be upset if I gave her something and she couldn’t reciprocate. So, for the first time in many years, we have gifts for each other under the tree.

Do you bother to wrap them or just put a bow on it?

Scotch majic tape was always great for unwrapping and rewrapping presents. My favorite from childhood into my late 30’s.

In our house, they would mostly be thing we each ordered, for the other to give us. Why get things someone else thinks you’d like? Go to the source.

Arlo looks like his packages are things he ordered for himself.

Wifey and I are celebrating our 32nd wedding anniversary today! We aren’t doing gifts this year as we have a January cruise coming up.

Well, I was going to use invisible tape to wrap my wife’s present, but I couldn’t find any, so I used ribbons.
