Never thought I’d criticize an A ‘n’ J storyline, but if Arlo were a reader of his own comic strip, he’d say, “Enough time on this subplot — let them buy the house and move already!”
Well this kind of creeps me out. My mother never liked any of my girlfriends except one. And I found out why when I over heard them comparing notes on how to manipulate me.
Nope. Janis IS practical, so she faced the decision in a practical way & concluded they should make the move. Arlo can be very practical, but, he just wasn’t able to match Janis’ practicality on this one. It’s not manipulative to see the other person’s point of view & change your way of thinking. (And I sincerely hope that “girlfriend” quickly got “ex-girlfriend-ed”!!! What an idiot!!!)
I can’t think of any story lines that have to take place in their current town. Sometimes Janis talks to a neighbor when she is out walking, but there are no regular people that we would miss if they moved. They don’t seem to have any friends at all where they live now.
I’m sorry, I read this in my newspaper today, and now am reading it here, and I’m still confused about what Janis’ stance is on the move, and am more puzzled by Mary Lou’s comment. Yes, things DO tend to go over my head when clarity in telling a story is slighted.

Wasn’t just the fun at the beach. The hot tub had something to do with it.

Arlo has fun at the beach and wants more is all Janis is saying…

Still say the move will be a mistake. Now is not the time to move to hurricane alley. They’re going to be more with greater intensity.

And the plot thickens…….

Lets see how much fun Janis feels after her first hurricane.

Being naked with him didn’t hurt her powers of persuasion any either. (See yesterday’s strip, if you missed it.)

I think he had more fun in the hot tub

Must have been quite a tub trick to get Arlo to change his mind so quickly. I’m sure he’ll regret mightily.
