I think we’re all in that same boat, right about now.

NOW I know what a bobby-pin is…We call those hair-clips…

I saw a quote in one of my web cartoons (Freefall). “I don’t have to save the world. I just need to put enough duct tape on it to keep it together until Monday morning.”

Is that your 46EEE brassiere you’re speaking of?

You don’t need a bobby pin, Aunty. You need a Jesus clip.

A retaining ring sometimes called a spring clip, cerclip, c-clip or e-clip. Used to retain pins, gears, bearings, and other mechanical devices. Often referred to as a Jesus clip, because they inevitably fly over your shoulder leading to the exclamation “Jesus, where did it go?”Be careful with that Jesus clip, when it goes flying, only God knows where it comes back down.

A BOBBY PIN?!? Geez, I haven’t used a booby pin (or curlers or curling iron or hair drier ) for about 35 years. Same with nylons/panty hose. . .get with it, Aunty! Short spiky hair and gel. . .geezus, this is 2020. . .

This reminds me of something we used to do in Junior High/High School. We would bend one leg of a bobby-pin around so that it was just held by the other leg. Then, if you made it right, when you pushed it against someone’s exposed skin, it would give them a little stinging snap… ☺

Having a bobby pin with you used to be useful for all kind of things, like picking locks and such….. Today, keeping life together, seems much much harder-

Gonna take more than a bobby pin to hold this world together in these times.

Nowadays I think bobby pins are used most often by Orthodox Jewish males to make sure their kipot (skull caps) stay in place. No, really!

Probably should’ve use a safety pin.
