Halloween is only starting to be “celebrated” in some Indian cities now, esp. by Indians who have returned from stays in the US. Doesn’t excite me much, nor my kids…
We have the opposite situation. We stock up. We have very few trick or treaters, so we have a lot left over. We put these into sandwich sized zip lock bags and throw them in the freezer.
We’ll pull one out and put it in the fridge’ about once every other week. We’re usually done with them about St. Patrick’s Day.
At my house, I used to end up with about 2/3s of the candy I bought left After Halloween.
I gave very Generously. I just have a very low sales resistance when it comes to Chocolate.
It could be even Worse at my current house because I haven’t seen a single “Trick or Treater” in about 10 years. I live near one of those churches that has campaigned for years to Kill Halloween. Plus, there are very few kids in the neighborhood. Oddly enough, about half the neighbors put up Halloween decorations every year. The ones Without Kids, as far as I can tell. If the kids around here go Trick or Treating, I suspect they go to another neighborhood with more & better candy.

Hah! Fortunately for me, I’ve never had that temptation.
Chips and cheesies, that’s another matter.

Ours make it to Halloween. We have no Trick or Treat here. Our development has a Trunk or Treat instead.

We buy a bag of stuff that WE like since we don’t get many callers (too far removed from the main road, which is also a paved cowpath).
