Girls value being pretty because there is ample evidence presented to them daily that their value, as perceived by the public, which includes desirable men, is highly dependent on it. You can be the sweetest, smartest, most whatever guys say they are looking for, but unless you look good to them, they won’t be around long enough to find that out.
Well smart shouldn’t really matter that much. Not everyone has the same capacity for intelligence. Common sense should be something to strive for. Think before you act type of thing. I have known people that were considered not very “smart” but had way more common sense then some people I met with a Phd. I enjoyed the company of the former way more than the latter. Plus the former never did anything stupid.

I think a lot of men and boys suffer from the same condition I’ve had since puberty: the more I like a girl, the better looking she gets.
Physical attractiveness may get me in the door, but it’s what she has inside that makes me want to stay.
