Yes. Scary, isn’t it?

It’s not why I have cats. (Adopting from shelters means they’re spayed/neutered, so no dating, no unplanned pregnancies, and no fighting over what they wear.)

It is only fair that your offspring get gray hair after all the ones they gave you.

Thanks for that. Now I will be looking for gray hairs on the nephews’ kids, kids. …sigh

My sons are more worried about losing hair than finding gray ones.

One of my nephews is forty-four and has a bald spot. Mind you, I was only twelve when he was born.

I remember someone writing in a newspaper in the 1980s, “I remember when old films were old because they were in black and white and everyone wore hats – now there are old films starring Woody Allen!”

It’s odd to see this comic today. I have been mulling over trying to decide if I want to grow out my hair naturally again. I am a redhead, and it’s really hard to get any where near my natural color, and I don’t see myself as a brunette or a blond. It was turning blond-ish when I got talked into some highlights and it all went downhill from there. My hair won’t go grey, it will go white. Currently it is coming in with many different colors and maybe I should let it grow out over the winter when I can easily wear hats and such for a while and just let it be itself. My adult child and my friends are against it. I never did want to color my hair.

Actually, most of the hair I have left is still dark brown, through the gray is starting, slowly, to infiltrate (and it’s already established a significant presence in my beard). But it doesn’t really bother me. I yam what I yam!

My mom had told me she was shocked to find a white hair on me when I was 3 years old. My guess is I was born with it. Many redheads change color early, but I did not. My brother changed very young, and we had the same hair color.
