Santa’s a stalker.

“You better not cry”; Santa is an emotional blackmailer.

Santa showed Google how it is done.

So … don’t worry about Artificial Intelligence, that might be used as a sort of benign Santa Claus? Or … Krampus?

We all do. Of course, these days we understand it is not Santa that is watching us…

Before puberty I didn’t find it creepy.

Today’s Aunty Acid strip reminds me of an early Calvin and Hobbes strip. Calvin was listening to the song lyrics that Aunty Acid has just quoted and then commented, “Santa Claus – jolly old elf or CIA Spook?” Calvin trying to be good – or not be bad – in the build up to Christmas is a yearly joke which is developing again in the strips from 1993 which are the current reprints.

Actually, Aunty is more than creepy. Witch in sheep’s clothing.

And I’m sure you also find it a bit worrying. I mean, what if Santa was to “notify the authorities”? ☺

Elf on the shelf is even worse, specifically spying on little kids, which doesn’t seem right or even legal.

I’ll take my chances, I’m sure he’s bored at watching me.

Reminds me of another mythological being who watches us. To see if we’re a sinner or not.
