Been there, done that.

The really good stuff comes around just when you’re trying to diet.

Would you consider it worse if they went on a luxury vacation without you?

I have to hide food and put a lock on the freezer because husband with dementia will eat things that are planned for future meals. Made a batch of cookies yesterday to take to a meeting and left what I brought home on the counter. He ate a dozen cookies overnight.

But Aunty dear, eating something good while you are not around is the point… ☺

There is a good reason for that!!!!!

Aunty, with you around there is nothing good left for them to eat. It’s only when you aren’t around that they have the chance to eat something good.

They are celebrating the occasion. Probably drinking the good wine too.

Or when you finish lunch, and right afterward they call to invite you to a late lunch.

Or have your big brother throw the one and only pizza party while your jaw is wired shut…

Back in the eighties I was taking night college classes. I had a major final on my birthday My brother was home visiting. That was the night he took the whole family, including my husband, to my favorite restaurant.I had forgotten this until I saw this comic. I’m calling my brother to tell him he owes me a dinner.

Yes. Your family eating something good when you ARE around but not letting you have any. Like when you’re a kid and not allowed to have a dessert for whatever reason but everybody else can.
