I like to do a thought experiment. I pretend to be a boy/girl/or whatever scout from the planet Zarg who wants to get a merit badge for primitive cultures. So my scout leader takes the troop to this piece of debris orbiting a middle-aged, yellow dwarf star in the galactic suburbs called Tierra or Earth or Gaia or many other names by its various inhabitants.

When you look at our society from the outside, many of the things we do are tragic and most are outright comical.

Of course it’s pointed away from Earth. Intelligent people are looking for another place to live. Earth is doomed. Of course one could just read Bible Scripture for the City NOT built by hands of MAN but by GOD.

Because there’s very little intelligent life on this planet, Aunty.

Because they have all examined you Aunty and they are looking, as you said, for INTELLIGENT life.
