Well it’s that time of the year.

So it begins!

It did say scratch and sniff.

Little kids are just walking petri dishes!

Wanda is not looking forward to what lies ahead- whatever Wren has will rotate through the entire family, one at a time. It should be over by St Patrick’s Day.

But since Wren is the most homebound, it doesn’t make sense that she’s Ground Zero.

Now everyone will get sick!

Wanda will get it and keep soldiering on. Then Darryl will get it and the world will grind to a halt while he plays out his death scene. Maybe, though, Wanda will take to her bed and make him deal with everything. Those are scary-looking germs!

It’s spring soon.

We were at a birthday party for an elderly friend and a bunch of great grandchildren were running around. At least they were squealing not sneezing but I still hope they weren’t active disease vectors.

Time for that pesky pediatrician visit.

Yeah….

Ironically, as I read this, I’m watching an episode of Little House on the Prairie when Laura caught a cold. She was out in the rain with a boy, recreating how Ben Franklin discovered electricity (NOT invented like they were saying).

And the Anti-vaxers are getting on their soap boxes.

Cold and flu season has arrived.

Ah, the little plague carrier has brought a fresh gift home, has she?

And just when they found out the key ingredient in most cold medications is a placebo

Wren is reviewing Wanda’s new children’s book: “It makes me sick!”

This sure tells a rich story.

Better to build up an immunity to the bug now then later. And to teach Wren to cover her mouth when she sneezes, please.

Why is it like that? One minute, you’re fine. Maybe a cough and a sniffle. Twenty minutes later, your head is completely closed to air, but the snot finds a constant way out.

Yep, when one gets sick, everyone gets sick.

My sympathy to every parent at this time of year

It’s probably too late this time, but is Wren old enough to wear a mask yet? (Now, there’s a question that didn’t exist until a couple of years ago!)
