I’ve heard of the story about the Pilgrims hitting that big rock with their new Plymouth

They called it Plymouth Rock because it was shaped like a Plymouth.

Thank goodness for East Coast weather. If there hadn’t been a storm, they might have landed and set up shop in Virginia. What a difference that would have made.

What is more disappointing for most first time visitors, Plymouth rock or the Alamo?

Someone will compose a song called “Plymouth Rock”…….

The Pilgrims first landed on the tip of Cape Cod. They moved because Provincetown wouldn’t fit on the rock!

50 years ago I spent my summer vacation at Plymouth, Mass., sunbathing on the beach not far from Plymouth Rock. The town had to fence the rock in to keep souvenir hunters from chipping pieces off. Perhaps the rock had at one time been bigger.
