That pencil’s a hundred years old? Seriously? …well, I guess it’s not really that significant since graphite pencils have been around since the 1500s, with the design of the modern pencil being settled upon by the 1800s…the only really significant difference is that a pencil that old may have used lead-based paint…that and the type of wood used for the body.
…so I stopped to read up on the history of the pencil while I was at it. Sue me.
