So it’s official that Lottie and Shauna are 15. Since it’s been established that Mildred is a bit older, I wonder whether she’s 15 too or is already 16?
Okay, I see what Jordan’s doing here, but I also (begrudgingly) know that he’s right. Just what kind of program is Bishop running here anyway?
Come to think of it, the whole time they’ve been here, they’ve barely done ANYTHING that space related. Granted, things like dumb rubes trying to invade the place probably derailed the schedule, but still…
Point is that Bishop’s up to something, and I’m not inclined to trust him even with a ten-foot pole at the moment.
On the other hand, our heroines can’t just stomp out and leave the mystery unsolved and Bishop free to continue his nefarious schemes. Best to play along for now while investigating.
That is, if Tuan doesn’t kill or cripple Bishop in the next minute or two….
On re-read I notice that Jordan is speaking only to Tuan and only mentions Lottie, though Shauna was in as much or as little danger. OK, Alex is a nebbish and Jordan’s relatively indifferent to Shauna.
So, does he see Tuan as a rival for Lottie and his plan is to get him into deep trouble by inciting him to attack Bishop?

Seems like a “Fool me once…” situation. Is San Fran the “Fool me twice”?
