“Career decision”, “couldn’t admit it because everyone on Earth had all memory of you erased after you got dragged into a portal to Hell opened by a time-traveling Satanist”… really, it’s all the same thing. (But apparently the events of “Into the Woods” restored at least some people’s memories of Erin. But since that involved Erin agreeing to trade her soul (and thus return to Hell) in exchange for sparing Eustace’s life… well, there really wasn’t anyone to whom she could admit it that would care anyway.) (And then Eustace went and got himself killed by his demonically-powered computer when trying to communicate with Erin. But at least they got reunited. Even if it was in Hell, and Eustace was now a horse. You know, the typical story.)
Also, I love Lottie’s expression in the last panel.
Will Lottie be able to write newspaper stories and a novel this summer, or will the latter be abandoned? Or will her newspaper stories become her avenue for fiction writing?
