    Jack appears to be praying in panel 1; nice bit of subtle art.

    Of course, in panel 5, he’s either having the worst day of his life, or one of the best. Hard to tell what he’s thinking there. :)

    And just because Mildred has been taking driving lessons, doesn’t mean she’s actually GOOD at driving. (Except for the parallel parking, apparently.) But at least her “no accidents so far” is holding, despite a few close calls there. ;)

    Driving stunt scenes have more choreography rehearsal than an MGM musical. Most people’s real-life driving looks like the new drunk at a ballroom dancing competition.
