You know, it occurs to me that the farmer and his wife luckily didn’t seem to have much in the way of social lives outside of their farm, considering nobody around them ever seemed to have noticed they both went missing and a pair of strange imposters took their place up until now.
As well as the rather large spaceship that no doubt loudly crashed into their house…but then considering that satellite that randomly crashed into a football field a couple storyarcs back, maybe that was just considered NFT.
Wait, so Lem is basically an onion test tube baby? They couldn’t have used a gopher or a bunny rabbit? And he is fed exclusively the very thing that gave him life? Oh dear! Will I ever be able to eat onions again? How can I eat my tacos without salsa?

Yes, she “ran away”, to a “nice farm up-state” where she can “play in the sun” with “all the other farmers’ wives”.
Note that the “onion babies” are actually Lem’s older siblings.
