I like how Lottie seems to find it flattering to be called a “jezebel.” It DOES sort of seem like the sort of thing she’d fancy aspiring to.

Jezebel? Now I wonder if Calvin’s mom is Mrs. Clovis’s older sister, who moved to Tackleford while her lil sister fights super-villains around the world as a secret agent?

Chinese burn is called an Indian burn on this side of the pond. Not sure what the correct term would be today. Wrist burn?

Calvin is in love. Lottie will break his heart or at least severely damage his self esteem.
