Ethel (the tall thin one) and Maud (the short wide one) were Amy’s rivals when she first opened her shop. Due to their machinations, Amy’s shop got burned down, and she ended up taking over theirs.
Obviously, the work of communists.
And the first consequences of messing with time travel start to become apparent…

I was just thinking about this sequence with Amy (and Ryan) but SOMEHOW forgot it was in this story!
