Who knew Lottie was such a delicate flower?

This is such a sad ending to Bad Machinery. It’s all over. Nothing to see tomorrow. We can all sleep in an extra five minutes every day from here on out.

There was actually a weekend strip that doesn’t appear here, which ran towards the end of “Forked Road”, that establishes that the girls do have a ouija board. However, perhaps Charlotte thinks it’s defective, because when Mildred asked it the name of the man Lottie would marry, it replied, “TEFLON EGGPAN”.

Lottie – excuse me, Charlotte – do you now not see the downside of your failure to document your cases thoroughly on your laptop? I bet Mildred would have backed up the case files if she were assigned to be their custodian.

And so is marked the end of an Age of Mystery… and the beginning of an Age of Revenge!

Once the dramatic smoke clears Lottie will be back. Being taciturn won’t suit her in the long run.

The Allotment Association might evict them, but I don’t think it would set the shed on fire.

This is one of the most powerful and emotive pages in the entire Bobbinsverse. Even knowing it was coming it still wallops me with its pathos and bleakness.

    Lottie is dead R.I.P.
