This was the first proper page of “The Case of the Missing Piece”, or the top two-thirds of it, anyway. The interstitial strips that preceded it followed immediately upon Shauna and Lottie’s return from Wales, without the usual break between cases, so this, “one week ago”, is actually happening while Shauna and Lottie are at SpaceUK. Which is why it’s just Mildred and the boys here.
One of the interstitial strips had Mildred telling the the other girls about these events. We’re not going to see that one here, but it’d be kind of redundant, because we’re going to see the events first-hand in flashback.
Tania’s surname was originally “Lewis”. I’m not sure why it was changed. It apparently messed up the formatting of the speech balloons in the lower left panel, though. They weren’t like that in the original.
