Usually, it means a cylinder is firing sporadically, or not at all. You just need to open the hood, start the car, and pull each spark plug wire, one at a time, at the distributor end, and replace it a few seconds later. If pulling one of the wires does not make the engine run dramatically worse, shut off the engine, pull the spark plug at the other end of the wire, make sure it’s clean and gapped properly, and replace it. Replace the spark plug if that doesn’t work. Replace the wire if the new spark plug doesn’t work. You only need an expert if all of them are working.

Like most teens, Baldo has all his plugs connected.

It’s just his timing that’s off!

Oh, good - whatshername is back!

The look she’s giving him at the end says “Baldo, these are the first two panels I’ve appeared in for weeks, and not only do I not get any speaking lines - I have to listen to that lame comeback?”

Reminds me of the time I took my boss’s Daimler SP250 to a gas station.

The Daimler SP250 is a 1960’s vintage Britishfiberglass body sports car. It was manufactured with a 2.5 V-8 hemi.

The guy at the gas station came to look at it. He said I didn’t have a clue…it was just a Triumph with a Chrysler engine…

Of course, he was wrong. It just proves knowledge of cars isn’t innate. Its learned.
