Seems strange to me that the boss didn’t check the proof sent by the printer. Although that happens more often than one would think.

Based on what the boss has done in the past I think he deliberately misprinted the prices. It’s the old bait and switch technique. Then he runs off so he won’t have to listen to the complaints.

Potrzebie: They can try one with better management. Of course, it those cases, it is the workers who suffer, while the management just goes to a different company to foul up.

The supermarkets in my Bronx neighborhood either say that the circular is incorrect and insist on selling the product for the non-advertised price or say that they NEVER carry something that is advertised for sale on their weekly circular

I think legally they have to sell the items for the advertised price, because someone can make the case that the “misprints” were done deliberately. By closing the store, nothing will be sold, but by complying with the law, while they may not get any profit on the advertised items, they can make money on additional items the customers will buy. That’s the whole point of having sale items, to bring people in and buy the things that are not on sale, while clearing out the sale items that weren’t selling so well.

They can just do the same as one of my local hardware stores. Hide all but a few of each item, sell those at a loss, and then tell everyone, “sorry, we sold out of that right away.”
